Groups or parties may require further advance notice to secure the date you are booking. Parties of 4 or more may require a deposit to secure that time and day. A valid credit card will be required to secure your reservations at the time of booking. Prices are subject to change without prior notification.
Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your appointment to fill out any necessary paperwork and prepare you for your appointment. We send out a digital intake form via email after an appointment has been made. This will speed up the process when you arrive. We may have additional forms to fill out as some of our services require it.
Cancellation/Late Show Policy
Due to the increase in our waitlist, we want to ensure everyone is able to have access to the #selfcare they need. Please read the following cancellation details. Should you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please notify us 24 hours in advance to avoid being charged a 50% fee. Late arrivals will result in a shortened appointment or an appointment rescheduling (charges apply). No shows will be charged in full for the appointment. Soma Novo reserves the right to make exceptions as we understand emergencies arise. If we are able to fill that spot you will not incur a fee.
At Soma Novo we strive to provide you with a warm and relaxing environment. Please be respectful and considerate of others and refrain from using your cell phone. We ask that you keep the level of talking low as to allow others in our spa to enjoy their time here. Please leave valuables at home as Soma Novo cannot be held responsible for loss of personal items.
Egift – please check your email for the 16 digit number. You will be required to show that at check out in order to redeem it.
Promotion/Discounted Items – After 6 months of purchase date, any gift card with a promotion item listed with be converted to the cash value at the time of purchase. Any balance owed for the service will need to be paid by the client.
Gift Card + Free Gift – If you purchased a gift card that included a free service, the free service item expires 6 months after the purchase date.
In House Gift Cards – All Gift cards hold a cash value regardless of what is listed on the card description. If a gift card lists a service or package item, the gift card will cover the cost of the service/package up to 1 year. This is due to possible price increase for services at Soma Novo. Also, If your card lists a service item, you may use the card for a different service. We would simply apply the cash amount paid by the card purchaser to your service. Any balance on the card will be added to your profile as store credit to be used at a later date. If the card does not cover the cost of services that day, the balance due will be paid by the client at checkout.
Give Away Items – If you received a gift card during a Soma Novo promotion or from a 3rd party promotion, all items expire on the date listed on the card. No Exceptions. (items received prior to 01/01/2021 that do not have an expiration date cannot be accepted at this time)

4 Float Holiday Special 2023: Gift is for 4 – 90 minute float sessions (value $240). Gift certificate includes a free 60 minute swedish massage. There is no cash value for the free massage, is non- transferable, and needs to be booked the same day as one of the 90 minute float sessions (float/massage combo). Once redeemed for service item credits, credits cannot be converted to cash.

Q. When should I arrive for my appointment?
Please arrive 15 min prior to your appointment. Arriving late will possibly interfere with your service. Appointment times are not extended based on late arrivals.
Q. What methods of payment do you accept?
We accept Cash, Check (in State) with proper Id. Discover, MasterCard, Visa, American Express, and Soma Novo Gift cards.
Q. Is tipping necessary?
Gratuity may be provided at the clients discretion.
Q. Can I cancel my appointment?
Please call as soon as you need to cancel since we do require 24 hour notice for cancellations. This will also ensure you do not get charged for the appointment. If you are under the 24 hour time frame, we will try to fill that spot with our waitlist. If we are able to fill that spot there will be no charges applied to your card.
Less Than 24 Hours – 50% Charge is required
No Show – 100% Charge is required. We generally wait up to 20 minutes before considering it a no show.
Late Arrival – A late arrival will shorten a scheduled session, but will still require full payment.
Q. What if I have heath problems?
Please let us know when booking your appointment if you are pregnant, have allergies, high blood pressure, any physical ailments, diabetes or any kind of bacterial, fugal or dermatitis. This will prepare our staff far in advance to provide the best possible treatment or therapy for you. The service provider will address your needs based on your personal assessment. They will speak to you about the temperature, pressure, music, product and sequence of service they are providing. This is a great time to communicate to us how you are feeling during your service. If there is anything specific you would like to address, please inform your service provider.
Q. What should I wear for my massage, body treatment or float session?
That is entirely up to you. It is recommended during a body treatment or massage that those treatments are enjoyed without clothing although undergarments may be worn if preferred. Professional draping is performed throughout the duration of the service for privacy. A bathing suit is not required during your float session but can be worn.
Q. Can I get a massage if I am pregnant?
You must be through your first trimester and we ask you inform us prior to booking so we can prepare the room for your massage upon your arrival.
Q. Should I shave before my body treatments?
Shaving is not recommended before body treatments, men’s facials or flotation therapy. If you choose to shave, please shave at least four hours prior to your service.
Q. Do gift cards expire?
Gift cards do not expire. We offer gift cards through various services for our clients. Some of our gift card providers may charge a service fee to maintain a balance after a year since the card was issued. As per Maine law, an unused gift card after 3 years is deemed abandoned.
Q. What if my gift card is lost or stolen?
Soma Novo is not responsible for lost or stolen gift cards.
Q. Are children welcome at Soma Novo?
Children are always welcome here at Soma Novo we just ask that they be supervised at all times.
Q. Is there an age requirement?
Written parental consent is required for body treatments and massages for anyone under age 18. We generally will have a parent in the room for anyone under 15.
